Léon Belly, a 19th-century French painter, captured the epic struggle of Odysseus in his works inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. His art conveys the endless seas, the wrath of sea god Poseidon, and the hero bound to destiny, journeying across peril and exile toward the long-awaited shores of Ithaca.

For ten years after the fall of Troy, Odysseus wandered the seas, harried by Poseidon’s storms and tested by every trial. Yet through exile and torment, he endured, guided by cunning and strength of will. In Argos Odyssey: Return to Ithaca, the eternal voyage is transformed into a fragrant myth, a legend reborn of perseverance and temptation, ending in the triumph of return.
